Yes we do! We have a list of preferred suppliers we work with to ensure your event is exactly what you want. We will also work with suppliers you may suggest and you don’t need to lift a finger, whilst we keep you informed every step of the way.
We offer a full on-site and off-site catering service. If you require Halaal catering, we have vetted suppliers we have worked with for many years who will provide Halaal food.
Yes! We cater to all cultures, religions and backgrounds. We can offer a mixture of these options too.
Yes, you can! However, we offer bespoke naked cakes for you to choose from.
We have an on-site bar and will stock your preferences and special requests for your event.
No problem! We will supply soft drinks, non-alcoholic drinks and create mocktails. We can also supply non-alcoholic beers and any other requests you may have.
We have street parking and guards in the area. We can organise a guard for your event.
A deposit equal to 50% of your event will secure your event date unless payment arrangements have been made. Thirty days before your event 100% is due along with your menu selections.
We run a busy calendar where dates a booked well in advance!
We will provisionally reserve your preferred date for 5 days and if we do not hear from you it will be automatically removed from our calendar. Your payment will secure your date. All payments are non-refundable.

We run a busy event company and may not always take your call.
Please email us at cooking@geckoevents.co.za as we check emails daily unless we have a full days event, then we may only get back to you the next working day.
The office is closed over weekends and public holidays but if we can, we will respond the same day.
Should you want to view the venue, please make an appointment to do so.
We work by appointment only. Our office number is 082 467 8088.
If you walk in while we are busy with an event we will not be able to attend to you.
If you want to view the venue after hours or over a weekend, please make an appointment.
If we are busy with an event or have urgent work to attend to, we will not be able to see you, so appointments are essential!
Answers about our Culinary Events and Classes .....
For obvious safety reasons please wear flat, comfortable, closed shoes. Without exception, anyone wearing stilettos or high heels may not participate.
Everyone will have the use of an apron during the event and casual, comfortable attire is preferable.
We require that long hair be tied back during the cooking session.
Bring along something warm to wear as we may eat outside.
There is plenty of secure parking with highly trained guards on-site.
If the parking is full, there is street parking in full view of the security guards.
If your event is at 18H00 or later then we will provide an additional guard for 50 or more vehicles.
Yes! We cater to all cultures, religions and backgrounds.
We will try as far as possible to cater for special diets but please keep in mind that our events are team building events where everyone gets to cook together.
If you attend a cooking class, we will advertise whether special diets are catered for in specific classes.
We are a licensed venue so no alcohol or other refreshments may be brought onto the premises.
There are cocktails and a limited bar available, however we do provide for special requests.
All refreshments are billed on consumption.
We are cashless! Please settle the bill with a credit card after the event.
We start on time!
Please arrive 30 minutes before the starting time of your event or class. This allows for a general briefing, ordering a drink, sorting out teams, handing out aprons and menu run-through.
In all our events and classes you will be eating here! We aim to have the first course ready within 30-40 minutes of the class starting. If this does not suit you, we recommend eating something light before you arrive.
If the class is a tasting only class, we will advertise it as such.
Yes! We will send you a recipe booklet after each event or class.
Pictures are not only allowed but encouraged!
We love you sharing your creations and the awesome time you are having at our events and classes.
If you are attending a class, we will try to keep your group together but you may be working alongside other people too.
In a company team building event you will be randomly assigned to a group.
In our team building events the goal is to get everyone working together towards a common goal.
In our cooking classes we will teach you cooking techniques for a wide variety of foods and cuisines with recipes to work from.
The instructor will demonstrate how the recipe(s) should be prepared and then each team will use the provided ingredients to create the dish or dishes.
We aim to have something ready for eating as soon as possible and you all eat together once everyone is finished cooking. The instructor and facilitators will be available throughout to answer questions and help you if needed.
Absolutely no previous experience is required!
We encourage questions as you go along and there are no right or wrong questions!
We want you to be able to replicate all the recipes on your own at home.
For safety reasons we do not allow children under the age of 12 in our classes.
We do offer classes and events for teens from 12 years up.
